Our Story

Louisiana Insurance Services, Inc. (LISI) was incorporated in 1982 by local independent insurance agency owner Terry Ewing. At the time LISI was established, Terry had owned and operated Ewing Insurance Agency in Jonesboro, just south of Ruston, for twelve years. In 1984 the Ewing Agency was merged into the Ruston location.

Louisiana Insurance Services offers a variety of personal, business, life, long-term care and disability insurance products. We represent numerous dynamic companies, allowing us to deliver the best products and prices to our customers.

Rather than being price-driven, our insurance recommendations are value-driven. We strive to ensure you are fully and appropriately protected without being over-protected.

Ashley Hughes

Agent

Ashley is one of our commercial lines account managers, responsible for the complete servicing of our commercial customers. Outside of the office, she is a recent MBA graduate from Louisiana Tech University and an active member of Trinity Methodist Church. Whether she is cooking or baking, Ashley and her husband, Cameron, enjoy spending time with friends, family, and their two dogs, Mika and Belle.

Terry O. Ewing

Founder

Terry Ewing founded Louisiana Insurance Services more than 35 years ago, after spending 12 years owning and operating the Ewing Insurance Agency in Jonesboro, LA. Terry has nearly 50 years in the insurance industry and has served for ten years on the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana Board of Directors. He also served on several company/agent councils over the course of his career. Terry built Louisiana Insurance Services around the vision to create an insurance agency driven by customer-value, rather than price. This has enabled him to create a legacy of customer service, community involvement, and personal care.

Adam Ewing

President

Adam joined Louisiana Insurance Services in 2007 as a producer. In 2018 he purchased the company and is now the Agency President. In addition to producing life, personal and commercial lines, Adam is responsible for company relations, personnel, agency organization and procedures.

John McIntyre

Commercial Sales and Account Manager

John has served customers at Louisiana Insurance Services since January 2013. John has a background in banking and accounting, and is a licensed property and casualty producer. At LIS, he works in commercial sales and services existing clients. He also assists with managing day to day business operations. John is married to Rachael, and they have one son, Hud. They love attending Louisiana Tech ballgames. John also enjoys helping out with Hud’s sports teams in his free time.

Susan Wilson

Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

Susan has thirty years of experience in the insurance industry, both personal and commercial lines. Susan has her property/casualty license and her life license. Susan has been with LIS for twenty years and is currently responsible for the complete servicing of commercial accounts assigned to her. Outside the office, her focus is on being a vital part of the children’s ministry team at Pisgah Baptist Church. She and her husband, Hansel, enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and spending time with their 2 sons and their families.

Magan Hines

Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

Magan has been serving Louisiana Insurance Customers for over 2 years. She is responsible for the complete servicing of the commercial accounts assigned to her, making sure that clients stay protected and informed at all times. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking and camping.

Robin Gresham

Personal Lines Customer Service Representative

Robin is a Ruston native and Louisiana Tech University graduate with more than 9 years experience in the insurance industry. She holds property and casualty, life and health, and Series 6 licenses. Robin expertly reviews coverages, determining gaps and areas of concern. She creates strategies to protect customers. Robin and her husband Chris enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling with their children Wes and Mandi.

Blair Moak

Personal Lines Customer Service Representative

A North Louisiana native, Blair has been with Louisiana Insurance Services for more than 3 years. Blair helps people find the ideal personal insurance plan that matches their needs and their budget. Blair and her husband Josh live in Athens with their daughter Kinslee and their son Jude due in April.

Jennifer Smith

Administrative Assistant

Jennifer has been with the agency for more than 10 years and is responsible for agency accounting and internal operations. Jennifer and her husband Jamie live in Downsville with their children Dean and Miranda. She loves spending time watching her son play baseball and watching her daughter dance.

Letha Odom

Account Manager

Letha has 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. She has her Property & Casualty license, Life & Health license and will be happy to help with your insurance needs. She is married to Bruce Odom and has 2 sons Kurt & Kyle; 3 grandchildren. She loves to spend time with her family and travel.

Layne Davison

Vice President

Layne is a recent MBA graduate of Louisiana Tech University. He is passionate about providing excellent service and coverage for your business. Whether it is playing golf, listening to music, watching sports or dissecting a book; Layne loves to share hobbies and passions with friends and family. Some of his favorite books of all time are It by Stephen King and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Kalea Trull

Agent

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, Kalea finds satisfaction in helping businesses navigate the complexities of commercial insurance, ensuring that they are adequately covered and protected. Being a part of a team that values integrity, client satisfaction, and excellence in service is what makes every day at work fulfilling. Kalea is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Outside of work, Kalea’s greatest source of inspiration is her family. Her husband and kids motivate her to strive for excellence in everything she does.

Brandon Craft

Producer

As an agent specializing in personal and commercial lines of business, my goal is to make sure you are covered fully and correctly. I enjoy being at an independent agency like Louisiana Insurance Services because it allows our team to make sure that our quotes for our clients have the best possible price and coverage.
God is always first, followed by my family. Being able to provide a service that helps families during the toughest points of their lives is very important to me. It’s also important that I’m available to my clients and provide them with quick answers to any questions or concerns.
Much of my spare time is taken up with coaching my son’s 12-year-old travel ball team which is very important to me. I enjoy vacations and anything that allows me to spend time with family as well as serving on Church Men’s Retreats in the area.
